Months after it was first revealed to the world, the LTE Advanced version of Microsoft Surface Pro finally has a release date. This information was revealed by the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Devices, Panos Panay at the company’s Future Decoded event in London.
This particular variant of Surface Pro is apparently equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X16 modem. According to Microsoft, the new variant able to support 20 cellular bands throughout the world.
At the same time, it also able to support download speed of up to 450Mbps. Powered by Intel Core i5, it can be obtained with 4GB of RAM and 128GB solid state drive or 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage.
Priced at USD 1149 (about RM 4865) and USD 1449 (about RM 6135) respectively, the Surface Pro with LTE Advanced will be initially offered to business customers starting from 1 December onwards. No actual release date has been announced for consumers while its availability in Malaysia is not known as well.
