As expected, Instagram has finally rolled out its new Go Live With feature to everyone. The feature was first announced back in August as a test, and is now available for everyone else around the world. As its name suggest, it lets users hang out together on Instagram Live no matter where they are.
Available as part of Instagram version 20 for iOS and Android devices, you will see a new double smiley face icon when you start a live video. Tap on that, and you can tap “Add” to invite anyone who’s currently watching. Once they join, the screen will be split into two, and your friend will appear in the screen below. You can remove your guest anytime you want, or they can choose to leave on their own.

As with all Instagram live videos, you can share the live video to your Stories, or discard the video altogether.
When your friend is going live with a guest, you will see two circles stacked together in the stories section of your Instagram app. Tap to watch it, and like and comment like you normally would with a regular live video.
This is not the first time you can go live with a friend on the social network. Facebook, the parent company of Instagram, introduced “Live With” feature on Facebook back in May that basically does the same thing as what Instagram does now.
