Initially launched back in August, the Asus ZenFone 4 is now officially available in Malaysia. Retailing at RM2,099, this is not exactly an affordable smartphone – especially for a mid-range device.
Like every other device in its series, the ZenFone 4 comes with a dual-camera system. It consists of a 12MP f/1.8 shooter complete with optical image stabilisation and phase detection autofocus, while the other 8MP shooter has a wide-angle lens. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, is an 8MP snapper.
Beyond its camera hardware, the ZenFone 4 is also equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset; a decidedly mid-range SoC. That being said, it’s still a pretty capable chipset with very good power efficiency, though the ZenFone 4’s high asking price doesn’t quite match the mid-range processor.

Other specifications of the ZenFone 4 include a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, a 3,300mAh battery, as well as ZenUI 4.0 based on Android Nougat out of the box. Aside from that, the ZenFone 4 also comes with a front-facing fingerprint sensor and a glass back.
The Asus ZenFone 4 is currently available in Malaysia for RM2,099, although the company’s online store on Lazada has yet to list the device. Chances are, the ZenFone 4 will be listed there soon enough.
