New reports have emerged regarding the existence of a notebook that’s equipped with a Ryzen APU. The notebook in question is the HP Envy x360 15-bq101na, and according to a datasheet released by HP, this notebook will feature a Ryzen APU that comes with Vega integrated graphics. For those who may not be aware: AMD’s lineup of Zen-based APUs are more formally known as “Raven Ridge.”
HP’s datasheet tells us that its upcoming HP Envy x360 15-bq101na 2-in-1 notebook will be equipped with the AMD Ryzen 5 2500U processor. This CPU is said to be capable of base and boost frequency speeds of 2GHz and 3.6GHz respectively. Meanwhile, the graphics solution, which is embedded into the APU itself, is called “Radeon Vega M.”
Of course, judging by their names, one shouldn’t expect both the aforementioned AMD APU and iGPU to have the same level of performance as their desktop counterparts. Other specifications of the HP Envy x360 15-bq101na include: 8GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB M.2 SSD, along with a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS display. Also worth mentioning is the fact that Raven Ridge APUs will be compatible with up to 16GB RAM.
Unfortunately, the release date of HP’s Envy x360 15-bq101na was not mentioned. We do, however, expect HP to make an official announcement regarding this 2-in-1 notebook soon.
