Huawei has announced a line of new (and not so new) accessories to accompany its Mate 10 series. These include a pair of USB Type-C earphones to cater to the lack of audio jack on the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. A feature that was curiously not mentioned during the presentation.
The USB Type-C earphones are included in the box of the Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Design as part of the packages. Since both these smartphones follow the current trend of dropping the audio jack for some reason. On the other hand, the regular Mate 10 ships with a regular 3.5mm earphones; since it managed to retain the audio jack.
Aside from this minor complication, Huawei is also introducing a new SuperCharge car charger. For those moments when you can’t spare a few minutes to top up your smartphone battery. Accompanying this charge is a magnetic carkit to hold the phone in place while driving.
A new smart leather cover is being introduced for the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro; which shouldn’t be confused with the leather flip cover being shipped in the Mate 10 Porsche Design box.
Part of the presentation also included two items that Huawei had already revealed earlier in the year. The Huawei 10,000mAh SuperCharge power bank was announced back with the Huawei P10 back in March; while the new-ish Huawei EnVizion 360 camera was revealed three weeks ago in China.
