With all the rumours floating around regarding Nvidia’s GTX 1070 Ti graphics card, it may just be a matter of time before the card becomes official. Now, adding fuel to the fire, it seems that the GTX 1070 Ti has once again made an appearance, but this time on the Ashes of the Singularity benchmark database.
In the AotS benchmark database, it can be seen that the GTX 1070 Ti managed to rack up a score of 6,200. In comparison, Nvidia’s GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 graphics cards have managed to obtain scores of higher than 7,000. There is, of course, a plausible explanation to the underwhelming benchmark score of the GTX 1070 Ti: no adequate driver support. Once a suitable driver is made available from folks at Nvidia, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise to see the GTX 1070 Ti having significantly higher AotS benchmark scores.
Of course, one shouldn’t be too quick to judge the GTX 1070 Ti solely based on its AotS benchmark scores – it may run better / worse in other games. Previous rumours have indicated that this graphics card may not be overclockable, which may hamper its gaming performance when compared to its siblings and competition. Regardless, we do suggest our beloved readers to take all rumours regarding the GTX 1070 Ti with hint of scepticism, at least until Nvidia makes it official.
