After several online teases, real photos of the Razer phone has been spotted online. It gives us a glimpse of what the smartphone will be like for the gaming peripherals company.
Alleged photos of the Razer phone from TechByte shows the rear of the phone, with the Razer logo prominently displayed. The squared-off sides is similar to the Nextbit Robin smartphone, which shouldn’t be a surprise; Razer acquired Nextbit early this year. It also shows a dual-camera setup on the rear as well. Other than that, the matte black finish looks similar to other Razer products released so far.
The specs list has appeared online as well, thanks to Geekbench:
- 5.7-inch QHD Display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
- 8GB RAM
- 64GB Storage
- 12 Megapixel camera (which we assume is for both sensors)
- 8 Megapixel selfie camera
The specs list clearly shows the Razer phone to be comparable to most flagship smartphones in the market, though we can expect some form of gaming capability; this is Razer, after all.
The Razer smartphone will certainly be an interesting prospect – the mobile industry is viciously competitive, and Razer will likely look to create a gaming-related niche to it. All will be revealed on 1 November, when the company officially announces the device.
