Yet another tall screen phone is now available. The Honor 7X is the latest smartphone from the Honor brand, featuring the increasingly popular 18:9 screen and dual-camera combo. Of course, the 7X also comes with mid-tier specs, and mid-tier pricing.
Officially a follow up to the Honor 6X, the new 7X comes with the aforementioned 18:9 screen measuring 5.93 inches across with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels.
As reported earlier, the phone has the following mid-tier specs under the all-metal body:
- Kirin 659 processor
- 4GB RAM
- 64GB storage
- MicroSD card slot
- 3240mAh battery
- 16MP main + 2MP depth cameras (rear)
- 8MP camera (front)
- 156.5 x 75.3 x 7.6 mm
- 165g
- EMUI skin
- Black, Blue and Gold colour options
Fortunately Honor elected to keep the 3.5mm audio jack. Unfortunately, you are stuck with a microUSB charging port on the Honor 7X.
Prices for the Honor 7X starts from CNY 1,299 (RM 830) for the 32GB version, CNY 1,699 (RM 1,086) for the 64GB version and CNY 1,999 (RM 1,278) for the 128GB model. It will start to be on sale from October 17 onwards in China. We do hope this phone will arrive in Malaysia soon, as more choices is always good for consumers.
