Looks like the 18:9 (or 2:1 if you can do division) screen is becoming a thing now. Xiaomi is the next to jump on the bandwagon with the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. Leaked photos show the upcoming Redmi phablet with a large screen and dual-cameras on the back.
Not surprisingly, the design of the Redmi Note 5 looks similar to previous Redmi Note models. What is different here is the extra camera sensor on the rear and the impressive 18:9 screen. So much so, in fact, that the front has an almost-obscene screen-to-body ratio, which will be great for content consumption.
It is speculated that the phone will have either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 or the MediaTek Helio P25 inside. We may see 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. A large battery may also be present, following previous Xiaomi Redmi Note models – with a possible 4000mAh cell inside.
No launch or release dates has been leaked, so we will have to wait for news from Xiaomi itself on the official availability of its first Redmi device with an 18:9 screen. Also, as is always the case with leaked information, take everything here with a grain of salt.
