Vainglory’s World Championship will be taking place at the Kallang Theatre in Singapore this year. Players from around the world will be competing against each other from 14 to 17 of December 2017 for their share of the prize pool of USD$140,000 (roughly RM594,090).
Among the 5000 teams that have competed across five regions in the world. Seven teams have qualified for the championships, this includes Singapore’s very own Team Impunity. They are joined by defending champion Rox Armada from Korea, North America’s Cloud 9, Korea’s ACE Gaming, Indonesia’s Elite8, Japan’s DetonatioN Gaming and China’s Hunters.
Remaining teams will then continue to compete in their respective regional qualifiers to fight for one of the remaining seats.
Other teams from the Southeast Asia region will be competing for the remaining Wildcard slot to qualify for the Championship, fans from Southeast Asia can watch teams in their region competing for the remaining Wildcard slot on Vainglory’s Facebook and YouTube channel.
Super Evil Megacorp will also be unveiling the new Vainglory 5v5 mode in a show match live on stage. Giving the game a new life and possibly attracting new players by expanding from the current 3v3 format.
Fans in Singapore are able to register for free tickets to watch the event live from Vaingloryworlds2017.peatix.com. For fans that are unable to attend the World Championship, Vainglory Worlds will be streamed live on Vainglory’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
