If you’re a fan of the Metal Gear series – and somehow have not played the latest entry in the series yet – good news: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be available for free to those who are subscribed to PlayStation Plus next month.
This is a part of PlayStation’s list of free games for PS Plus subscribers next month, and yes, it is for those who are subscribed to Malaysia’s PS Plus membership, though US gamers are also getting the game for free. For October 2017, other PS Plus free games include Strike Vector EX, Hue, and In Space We Brawl.
While PS Plus free games aren’t always noteworthy every month, it has been pretty good lately. This month, for one, PS Plus members can download Infamous Second Son for free. While it’s a launch title for the PlayStation 4, Second Son will definitely appeal to those who follow the Infamous series, or even those who enjoy open world games.
But let’s get back to Metal Gear Solid V, one of the – if not the most – ambitious entries in the franchise. While some fans of the series weren’t thrilled by how different MGS V is over its predecessors, the open world nature and gameplay of the game are some of the best we’ve seen. It’s a Hideo Kojima game, after all.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and other games mentioned here will be available to download for free from 5 October to 8 November 2017. If you’re not a PS Plus subscriber yet, you can subscribe here.
