Most of our dear readers may have already known of the fact that Intel’s Coffee Lake-S desktop processors are going to be released in a couple of weeks and that Z370 motherboards will be available around the same time. What isn’t known – and wasn’t announced – however, is the release date of other, more budget-friendly motherboards.
A rumour has recently surfaced regarding the planned availability of Intel’s upcoming mid-range and low-end motherboard chipsets. These are the H370, B360 and H310 chipsets, which according to a leaked slide by Gamers Nexus, will be made available to consumers in the first quarter of 2018.
In addition to the release of Intel’s upcoming mid-range and low-end motherboard chipsets, the blue company is expected to release even more Coffee Lake-S processors in Q1 2018 as well. The leaked slide does not specifically mention the name of these processors, but it may very well be Intel’s lineup of Pentium and Celeron CPUs – or not.
Regardless, if this rumour were to be believed, then budget-conscious consumers may have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on a Coffee Lake CPU and motherboard. That aside, we do suggest our readers to take this rumour with a pinch of salt; at least until Intel announces the aforementioned details officially.
