When HMD Global announces the redesigned Nokia 3310 few months ago, a huge wave of nostalgia feeling suddenly hit the world. However, just like the original 3310, it is still a feature phone without any cellular data connectivity but that has now changed as HMD has just unveiled a 3G variant for the phone.
Alongside the support for 3G connection, users apparently able to utilize Facebook and Twitter with the new 3310 3G through dedicated apps. We noticed that there is also Opera Store on the phone but for now, we don’t know what other additional apps that users can download for their 3310 3G through it.
Additionally, the 3310 3G also feature 64MB internal storage as opposed to 16MB on the original (2017) model. Despite having the same 1200mAh battery as per non-3G variant, the 3310 3G’s battery life has been reduced from 22.1 hours to 6.5 hours’ worth of talk time although its maximum standby time is still not too shabby at 27 days.
Other features that HMD Global has retained for the new 3310 3G variant include 2.4-inch QVGA display, and 2MP rear camera with LED flash. Price-wise, the new Nokia 3310 3G will go for EUR 69 (about RM 342) once it is released throughout the world starting from mid-October.
Meanwhile, don’t forget to check out our hands-on of the non-3G Nokia 3310 right here alongside several image samples from its camera.
