We have seen quite a number of smartphones with 18:9 displays entering Malaysia, and the latest entry comes from Wiko. Retailing from only RM899, the Wiko View is the most affordable smartphone with such a display right now in our local market.
There are two variants of the View in Malaysia: the standard variant, and the higher-end View Prime. As the costlier model, the View Prime is the more well-equipped device of the two. It features a 5.7-inch 720p 18:9 display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, 20MP + 8MP front-facing cameras, a 13MP rear shooter, and a 3,000mAh battery.

The standard View, on the other hand, sports a more modest list of specifications. It comes with the very same display as the View Prime, a Snapdragon 425 processor paired with slightly less RAM at 3GB, 32GB of expandable storage, a 13MP rear camera, a 16GB selfie shooter, as well as a 2,900mAh battery.
While these two smartphones aren’t exactly the most well-equipped Android smartphone in the market, they’re certainly affordable. The Wiko View retails at only RM899, while the Wiko View Prime goes for RM1,199. Both phones will be available in Malaysia sometime next month.
