Remember Super Mario Run, one of the first mobile games by Nintendo that was announced last year alongside the iPhone 7 launch? The game was a hit at first, but the hype slowly died off after a couple of months. It looks like Nintendo is ready to breathe new life into the game. The company recently announced that they would release a new world, new mode, new playable character, and more.
To be available on 29 September 2017, Nintendo will add a new world called World Star. It has nine levels with new enemies and gameplay mechanics, and will be available after completing worlds one through six. In addition to that, Nintendo will also introduce a new mode called Remix 10, which is “a set of 10 super-short sections from Super Mario Run’s existing levels in quick succession”.

On top of that, Nintendo will also introduce Daisy, making her the seventh playable character in the game. Other updates include the ability to listen to your own music while playing Super Mario Run (when you do, Mario and friends will wear headphones while you play), and a temporary price drop by 50% from 29 September to 12 October 2017.
Super Mario Run was first released for iOS devices in December last year, with a pretty hefty price tag of RM39.90. It was then made available for Android devices in March this year, along with new characters.
