It was only a couple of weeks ago when Xiaomi unveiled its first-ever Android One smartphone, the Mi A1, in India. Just last week, the Chinese company held yet another launch event in Beijing, and it unveiled a slew of new products: the Mi Mix 2, the Mi Note 3, and of course, the Mi Notebook Pro.
Out of the two smartphones, the Mi Mix 2 is definitely the more exciting device. Not only is it a followup to Xiaomi’s well-received Mi Mix, it’s also a more practical and refined successor. While the Mi Note 3 is an interesting device in its own right, it’s not exactly coming to Malaysia. The Mi Mix 2, on the other hand, may just be officially launched here.
And then we have the Mi Notebook Pro, which is essentially Xiaomi’s answer to Apple’s premium MacBook Pro laptop. It certainly has the hardware to go against Apple’s offering, but it’s not exactly as refined as the MacBook Pro; you can check out our hands on of the Mi Notebook Pro for more information.
Nonetheless, here’s a quick look at Xiaomi’s launch event in Beijing. We’re also preparing our review of the Mi Mix 2; expect it to be up sometime this week. In the meantime, you can read our hands on of the device here.
