HP has just announced an upgraded HP Envy 13 featuring the new Intel 8th generation Core processors. It is also available with optional NVIDIA discrete graphics options for that extra graphics boost.
The premium design is carried over from the previous Envy models, but now features the latest Intel 8th gen Core-i5 and Core-i7 processors. The 13-inch Full HD screen comes with HP’s near-borderless micro-edge display for more screen real estate without sacrificing bulk.
The high definition WDR camera has a wide-angle lens to capture more in the frame. It is also used for Windows Hello for better security, in conjunction with the built-in fingerprint scanner on the trackpad.
The basic model of the Envy comes with the Intel Core i5-8250U, which is paired with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of NVMe SSD storage and Windows 10 Home. Two USB Type-C and two USB Type-A ports will be all the ports you get. A microSD-card reader is also thrown in for good measure.
For the Intel Core-i7 version, it will be the i7-8550U paired with 8GB of RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD storage, plus the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 2GB. The port count are the same for the two models.
HP promises 14 hours with a single battery charge with the new Envy 13 – all in a body that weighs only 1.32KG. HP is also offering models with the Intel Core-i7 processors as well as NVIDIA discrete graphics.
The new HP Envy 13 is available from September from RM 3,999 in two colours – Pike Silver and Silk Gold.
