It’s not a surprise that no one, or hardly anyone, uses Facebook Stories, and it looks like the company wants to do something about that. According to reports, Facebook is currently testing a feature that allows users to share their Instagram Stories directly on Facebook.
Mashable reports that several Instagram users are given the option to double post their Instagram Story onto Facebook Story. The feature sounds similar to sharing photos and videos on Instagram, whereby you are allowed to simultaneously share to Facebook as well.

Instagram has confirmed the test to Mashable, but declined to comment further. All the spokesperson from Instagram said was that they are constantly testing out new features “to improve the experience on Instagram and make it easier to share any moment”.
Facebook has been aggressively pushing Story or a similar feature to its apps. The company first introduced Story to Instagram a little over a year ago, which sees a great success with about 250 million users posting Stories each day. Facebook then introduced Story to its main Facebook app earlier this year, followed by a Story-like Status feature on WhatsApp. Sadly though, it hasn’t been doing very well for its main app, which probably explains their latest experiment.
Will this encourage you to share your Story on Facebook, or would you rather just stick to Instagram when it comes to sharing posts that disappears after 24 hours?
