Sandisk Debuts 400GB MicroSD Card

What would you fit into 400GB? That’s that question posed by Sandisk with its latest MicroSD card: the SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I 400GB. Which is easily the largest capacity microSD card in the world right now.

Designed for devices supporting microSD storage, the new 400GB card has double the capacity from the previous model. The extra storage was achieved by using Western Digital’s (which happens to currently own SanDisk) proprietary memory technology, design and production to fit more memory modules in the same die.

With a transfer speed of 100MB/s, it can transfer up to 1,200 photos per minute or store up to 40 hours of Full-HD video. This is perfect for modern devices that can record Full HD at a touch of a button. It also meets the A1 App Performance Class specification, allowing it to load apps faster.

At US$ 250 (approx. RM 1,066), the UHS-I is not the cheapest way to expand your device memory; but having almost half a terabyte of space in your camera means an end to those annoying “out of memory” messages.
