Not to be outdone by its close competitors Dell and Lenovo, HP has also announced that it will soon ship AMD Ryzen Pro processors for its commercial customers as well. This particular option is currently available for HP Elite 705 G3 Microtower and Small Form Factor (SFF) systems.
Interestingly, not all Ryzen Pro processors are made available for these systems though. According to the series’ product documentations, only Ryzen 5 Pro 1500 and Ryzen 3 Pro 1200 can be equipped into either Elite 705 G3 models although the system that was on display at AMD Ryzen Pro media event is equipped with the higher-end Ryzen 7 Pro 1700X.
Since Ryzen Pro is a pure CPU, it doesn’t come with its own graphics processor. Instead, it has to rely on dedicated graphics card which is why the EliteDesk 705 G3 can be obtained with up to AMD Radeon RX 480 for the Microtower model and Radeon R7 450 for the SFF variant.
Both models can also be equipped with NVIDIA Quadro NVS 310. In terms of availability, HP will begin to roll out EliteDesk 705 G3 with Ryzen Pro processors throughout the world starting from mid-September.
