Lenovo has announced that commercial customers are now able to obtain its ThinkCentre M715 desktop systems with the new AMD Ryzen Pro processors. This was revealed during the AMD Ryzen Pro media event in New York earlier this week.
Part of the company’s ThinkCentre M Series enterprise desktops line-up, the Ryzen Pro option is available to M715 Tower and M715 Small Form Factor (SFF) systems. Despite the differences between their physical size, it seems like both models feature similar type of hardware.
Alongside the ability to support up to Ryzen 7 Pro 1700, both type of systems can be fitted with up to 64GB of DDR4-2400 RAM. Depending on customers’ request, they can also be fitted with either SATA-based hard drive or solid state drive as well as M.2 PCIe NVMe solid state drive.
Given its size, the M715 SFF only comes with NVIDIA GeForce 730 while the tower model can be obtained with much beefier graphics card in the form of AMD Radeon RX 550. In terms of pricing, Lenovo didn’t reveal such details during the AMD Ryzen Pro media event but nevertheless, it always depends on specific setup that customers would like to have for their business or organization.
