Blackberry has confirmed that there will be another phone coming soon, this time with water-resistant features. According to TCL, this will not be a direct upgrade to the DTEK 50 and 60, but an all new phone designed for users looking for a hardy phone.
TCL shared that the phone will have a full-touch screen, so no QWERTY keyboard this time around. Another feature that is planned for the phone is IP67 water and dust-proofing for the phone. Furthermore, TCL plans to incorporate a big battery into the phone, as they are looking for it to last more than 26 hours of mixed use.
TCL is confident that with the new phone, a few iPhone and Galaxy users will be “making the switch” to Blackberry thanks to the new design and the security know-how that only Blackberry can deliver.
The Blackberry Keyone is an impressive phone, with very business-centric features that appeals to a small segment of the market. If the upcoming Blackberry phone from TCL can continue along this line, they may just be the choice of many around the world looking for something a little bit special than your typical Android or iPhone device.
