Olike Malaysia has introduced two new “sports centric” smartwatches to the Malaysian market. The two devices are more like smartbands that true smartwatches, with both being designed wholly for fitness functions. That said, the Hey 3S and XH3 do offer some interesting features for the price points.
Both smartwatches are equipped with the standard heart rate sensor for fitness tracking, but also include a GPS feature that is often missing from budget minded fitness bands.
Olike also claims that they are capable of withstanding 50 ATM of pressure; allowing the wearer to take the smartwatches on diving trips. For reference, every 10m of water is 1 ATM of pressure, meaning that the Hey 3S and XH3 should survive down to 500m of depth. It would be great if someone could test this claim for us.
The Hey 3S is said to have a battery life of 30 days, while the XH3 should last 40 days on a single charge. It sounds a bit ambitious, considering that this is far longer than similar smartwatches and smartbands.
Still, the Hey 3S is set to sold for RM499, and comes with two strap options: dynamic red and youth green. On the other hand, the XH3 will retail for RM399 with two colours: black and red. Both will go on sale from 31 August in all Olike salespoints and Oppo concept stores.
