Tekken is heading to both Android and iOS. Bandai Namco has announced Tekken Mobile, a rather uninspiring title for the classic fighting game’s first foray into the mobile space.
There’s little information about the actual gameplay at the moment. We don’t really expect it to be done in the traditional fighting game style; seeing as Bandai Namco have clearly included microtransactions. It looks like collecting characters is going to be a big part of the game. That said, the announcement indicates that players will be creating their own combos and teams.
For now, the developer is opening pre-registration for interested players to get started. There are rewards for registering early, and the company is linking the amount that everyone gets to the number of people who register during this time.
No launch date has been provided, but the game is already being tested in Canada.
