Ahead of the global launch event next week, Samsung Malaysia has released a registration of interest page for the Galaxy Note 8. Interestingly, the page also drops a few interesting hints about the device’s features.
As usual, Samsung will broadcast the event live on YouTube, where fans can tune in. The event will again be held in New York, so the launch event will likely take place in the early hours of the morning in Malaysia time.
The mini site also allows fans to register their interest to get the latest information on the Galaxy Note 8. More interestingly, there is also a quick poll that asks fans what do they want to see in the next Galaxy. Here’s what it looks like:
Given the choices available, it is quite likely that Samsung will announce all of the above. The options mostly tally with the extensive leak released two weeks ago, with a 6.4-inch screen, a new dual-camera setup, and Bixby naturally on board. All of Samsung’s flagships since the S7 are already dust and water resistant, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that the Note 8 will follow suit.
An enhanced stylus is to be expected, while “better battery life” is, again, what fans will expect from any new device. The final option is the most interesting one: is Samsung planning to offer larger base storage on the Note 8? The Galaxy S8 series ship with 64GB, but there was a 128GB edition released in South Korea. With more smartphones these days offering that amount as base storage, it does sound like a good move for Samsung.
In any case, all will be revealed next week. In the meantime, here’s the first teaser video for the Note 8 released by Samsung:
