Instagram recently tidied up its comments section, making it look more like Facebook. The company recently introduced a new comment thread section, allowing you to respond directly beneath any comments on Instagram.
Just like Facebook, when you tap on reply underneath any comment, your response will automatically be grouped right underneath it in a thread. This would make conversations a lot cleaner.
It’s just a minor update, but a useful one that makes it easier for those on Instagram to communicate with each other without flooding the entire comment section. It also makes it easier for the Instagrammer to directly reach out to his or her followers.
It looks like Facebook is slowly but surely trying to make Instagram look and feel more like Facebook. First, they tweaked their algorithm to show you posts they think are relevant to you, instead of chronological order. Now, even the comment section is starting to look more like Facebook too. Instagram’s new comment thread section will be rolled out globally in the coming weeks as Instagram version 24 and above for iOS and Android users.
