We’re only a few hours away from finally being able to see the first reviews of AMD’s Radeon RX Vega graphics cards. Despite this, leaks have already begun to surface regarding the gaming performance of the RX Vega 56. A few “blurred” graphs were posted by HardwareUnboxed, but folks at VideoCardz has somehow identified several graphics cards that were listed in them.
Judging from the graphs – and if VideoCardz is right – it looks like the gaming performance of AMD’s Radeon RX Vega 56 is somewhat similar to that of the Nvidia GTX 1070. Based on the blurred scores, it seems that when tested in 1080p, the framerate output of both the RX Vega 56 and GTX 1070 are the same.
In 1440p, however, the RX Vega 56 graphics card seems to have slightly better performance compared to the GTX 1070. The same can be said about the performance at 4K. Now, some of our dear readers may wonder “why isn’t the RX Vega 64 listed on the graphs?” Well, based on an earlier tweet from HardwareUnboxed, it looks like they’re only reviewing the RX Vega 56 – and not the RX Vega 64.
Regardless, if this leak were to be believed, then it looks like AMD’s Radeon RX Vega 56 graphics card will indeed be a favourite amongst plenty of PC gamers. Hopefully, this graphics card will come with a reasonable price tag once it becomes available in Malaysia. The more powerful RX Vega 64, on the other hand, may likely be priced ridiculously high in our country; read more on that here.
