While AMD might have revealed the pricing for its Ryzen Threadripper for United States few weeks ago, such information has not yet been disclosed until today. Just moments ago, the company has announced the official price tag of its ultra-enthusiast CPUs in our market in conjunction with their official global launch.
If you have been itching to get your hands on them, it is time to get your wallet prepared because the Ryzen Threadripper is quite costly. In Malaysia, the 16-cores/32-thread Ryzen Threadripper 1950X will go for RM 4,799 while the 12-cores/24-threads Ryzen Threadripper 1920X can be obtained for RM 3,899.
As comparison, the US pricing for each of these chips are USD 999 (about RM 4,288) and USD 799 (about RM 3,429) respectively. Hence, we are looking at differences of up to RM 511 between both markets.
On another hand, AMD has yet to disclose the Malaysian pricing for the 8-cores/16-threads Ryzen Threadripper 1900X which is the most affordable model in the series at the moment. As the chip will only be released on 31 August, we expect that its local price tag will only be revealed around the same time.
