While you might have seen its products in our market for quite some time, it is only today that Jaybird has announced its official presence in Malaysia. Acquired by Logitech last year, the brand has also taken the opportunity to introduce two wireless headphones in our market that are made for users with active lifestyle.
Equipped with a pair of 6mm drivers and an omni-directional microphone, users can choose to wear Jaybird X3 either over or under their ears. The headphones has also been designed to fit underneath one’s helmet which should be good news to cyclists out there.
In terms of battery life, the X3 are able to last for up to 8 hours which made them suitable for long runs and workout sessions. The headphones also come with quick charge capability which allows them to deliver one hour of operational time despite being charged for only 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, the other Jaybird headphones which are called Freedom are made to deliver comfort through their compact physique even though they also features a set of 6mm audio drivers. Despite their sizes, Jaybird claimed that Freedom still able to deliver good audio performance.
What made Freedom rather unique is that they come standard with a detachable charging clip that acts like a micro power bank for the headphones and provide 4 hours of additional playtime. Together, the Freedom headphones are able to deliver 8 hours of battery life.
Just like X3, Freedom also come with fast charging capability that enables them to achieve one hour of playtime for the headphones in 20 minutes. Similarly, they can also be worn underneath or over one’s ears as well as underneath a helmet.
These sweat-proof wireless headphones are also compatible with Jaybird App which allows users to fully customize their sound profiles. Users are also able to download EQ presets from other users, athletes and artists through the app, in addition to its Spotify shared playlist feature.
Price-wise, the Jaybird X3 can be obtained for RM 669 while the Jaybird Freedom costs RM 699. In conjunction with the official arrival of Jaybird in Malaysia, the brand is offering its new headphones at 10% off till 14 August at Jaybird’s official Lazada store and each purchase will also receive a special gift set.
