Back when Razer unveiled the BlackWidow Chroma V2, the Tournament Edition – essentially a tenkeyless variant of the keyboard – was not refreshed alongside its bigger brother. Now, Razer has finally refreshed the TE model, and it now comes with what the company dubs “Instant Trigger Technology.”
According to Razer, the BlackWidow Tournament Edition Chroma V2’s Instant Trigger Technology (ITT) allows for immediate response when a key actuates. As Razer puts it, “upon actuation (of any key), the new Razer ITT immediately sends the signal to your system, canceling any need for a debounce delay.”
Aside from the new ITT feature, this refresh of the BlackWidow Tournament Edition is very similar to the full-sized BlackWidow Chroma V2. It can be configured with either one of three different Razer switches – Green, Orange, or the new Yellow switch – it comes with Chroma RGB lighting, and of course, a magnetic wrist rest too.
The Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition Chroma V2 is now available on Razer’s Malaysian online store. Retailing at RM679, it’s most definitely not an affordable mechanical keyboard, but for gamers who want the absolute fastest response time out of their keyboards – assuming Razer’s ITT works as advertised – the BlackWidow TE Chroma V2 may be worth considering.
