Quite a number of devices have been discounted over the past couple of months, and now, even the honor 8 is receiving a price cut. Launched back in September last year, the affordable flagship now retails from only RM1,399.
Compare this to the retail prices of the honor 8 at launch: the 32GB model was going for RM1,699, while the more practical 64GB variant retails at RM1,899. Now, the former variant is priced at RM1,399, while the 64GB model is currently listed at RM1,599. Naturally, these new prices are offered by none other than DirectD; they’re original units from Huawei Malaysia, of course.
For that kind of money, the honor 8 offers quite a bit of value for money. It features a 5.2-inch Full HD LTPS display, a HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,000mAh battery. It also comes with a sleek “Aurora Glass” back and a rear fingerprint sensor.
In the camera department, the honor 8’s 12MP dual-camera system is very similar to the Huawei P9‘s. One of the two sensors is a conventional RGB one, while the other one is a monochrome sensor. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, is an 8MP shooter.
The honor 8 is now available from RM1,399 on DirectD’s online store. Alternatively, those who are interested can also purchase the honor 8 at these new prices from DirectD’s physical outlets.
