When ASUS launches its Zenfone AR in Malaysia recently, many might have not noticed this but the company has actually collaborated with one of the local BMW dealer in order to showcase the phone’s Augmented Reality capability to consumers. In fact, the ASUS and BMW Asia has also adopted similar arrangement for Singapore as well – just in time for the launch of Zenfone AR over there.
The main ingredient that fuels these collaborations comes in the form of the BMW i Augmented Reality (AR) Visualiser app. Originally announced just before Mobile World Congress earlier this year, the app provides BMW customers with the ability to experience BMW i3 and i8 with the help of Google Tango AR platform.
It goes without saying that Zenfone AR is indeed perfect for the job since it is one of the very few smartphones that actually able to support Tango. Working together with the app, customers not only able to explore the exterior and interior areas of both cards but also able to customize certain parts according to their tastes.
In general, this enables them to thoroughly visualize their customization which should be really helpful especially when you are committing yourself to exquisite cars like BMW i3 and i8.
