Xiaomi Malaysia has announced a minor price cut for its entry-level model, the Redmi 4A. Effective immediately, the device will now retail at RM469 – though a quick search will yield slightly better offers from other retailers.
Launched in Malaysia in mid-March this year, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A features pretty competitive hardware for its price. It has a 5-inch HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot (supports cards up to 128GB), 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing cameras, as well as a 3,120mAh battery.
The new RRP of RM469 represents only a RM40 price drop (though it is still almost a 10% discount), but a quick check on the product on Lazada reveals some other better deals.
For example, this listing for RM449 comes with a 5,000mAh Mi Power Bank, and the same seller also lists the phone only for RM433. Both listings are for local Malaysia sets with 1 year Xiaomi warranty.
In any case, if you prefer to buy from the official Mi Store in Lazada, you can get them in Gold and Grey colourways.
