Aside from unveiling its lineup of RX Vega graphics cards for PC gamers and enthusiasts, AMD has also announced two brand new Radeon Pro graphics cards: Radeon Pro WX 9100 and Radeon Pro SSG which are based on similar Vega GPU architecture.
Design-wise, both the Radeon Pro WX 9100 and Radeon Pro SSG graphics cards are fitted with almost identical cooler shrouds, which feature Radeon Pro’s signature “YInMn Blue” color scheme. These graphics cards are also equipped with blower-style cooling fans.
When it comes to specifications, the Radeon Pro WX 9100 comes with a FP32 (single-precision floating point) compute performance of up to 12.3 TFLOPS, along with 16GB of “HBC Memory with ECC.” Memory bandwidth of this graphics card is rated at 484GBps. Interestingly, AMD has equipped this graphics card with six DisplayPort 1.4 ports as well.
Next up is the Radeon Pro SSG which is the follow up to the “original” Radeon Pro SSG was unveiled during AMD’s Siggraph 2016 event. What makes this graphics card rather special is that its onboard NVMe-based memory and the 2017 Radeon Pro SSD actually comes with 2TB of memory that provides read and write performance of 8GBps and 6GBps respectively.
AMD has mentioned that the Radeon Pro WX 9100 will come with a price tag of US$2,199 (about RM 9,410). Meanwhile, the more powerful Radeon Pro SSG has an eye opening price of US$6,999 (about RM 29,949). AMD expects both graphics cards to be made available on 13 September.
