Despite having a launch event in Malaysia two months ago, it is only now that Nokia 6 is finally available for consumers in our market. As reference, the mid-range smartphone was originally scheduled for release in Malaysia towards the end of June.
While the device might be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, the smartphone is oozing with premium feel thanks to its aluminum chassis and sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass that helps protect its 5.5-inch full HD IPS display. Fingerprint scanner has also been integrated directly into its home button.
The smartphone also features a 16-megapixels PDAF camera on its rear in addition to the 8-megapixels autofocus on the front. Multimedia lovers would likely able to appreciate Nokia 6’s dual speakers as well as the NXP TFA9891 audio amplifier and Dolby Atmos support for the phone’s headphone output.
In terms of pricing, it remains the same as per what HMD Global has announced at its Malaysia launch event two months ago which is RM 999. Given its availability at DirectD, you can expect Nokia 6 to pop up at more stores as well very soon.
