Most gamers may be familiar with Armaggeddon’s range of affordable gaming peripherals, and here at Leapfrog’s annual Megatrends 2017 product launch, the company is showcasing two rather interesting mechanical keyboards. With affordable price tags and a modular design, the Armaggeddon PsychEagle and PsychFalcon may appeal to budget-conscious gamers.
The MKA-7C PsychEagle is a full-sized mechanical keyboard, while the MKA-3C PsychFalcon is a tenkeyless board. Aside from the size difference, these two keyboards are virtually the same. They both feature “KevlarTech” keycaps – they’re said to be “high quality concave keycaps with a lifetime fade-proof warranty – and interestingly enough, a modular design.
Unlike most mechanical keyboards in the market, the PsychEagle and PsychFalcon’s Outemu Blue switches are user-replaceable. Of course, this approach to a modular mechanical keyboard isn’t exactly new, but it’s a neat feature; especially for affordable keyboards like these.
Other specifications of the PsychEagle and PsychFalcon include up to 50 million keystrokes lifespan, various lighting effects, and a “multi-colour” backlight. No, these keyboards do not feature RGB lighting, which is really expected in this price range.
The Armaggeddon MKA-7C PsychEagle and MKA-3C PsychFalcon are now available in Malaysia from various retailers. The PsychEagle retails at RM199, while the PsychFalcon goes for only RM149.
