Launched in Malaysia not too long ago, Huawei has just given the Huawei Nova Lite a pretty major price cut. Originally retailing at RM999, the Nova Lite can now be purchased for only RM699 – that’s RM300 less.
However, this is not a permanent price drop: it’s part of Huawei’s “pre-Merdeka” promotion. From now until 31 August 2017, the Black and Gold variants of the Nova Lite are now going for RM699. The Blue model, on the other hand, retails slightly more at RM759.
For RM699, the Nova Lite does sound like a pretty compelling mid-range smartphone. It features a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a Kirin 655 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 12MP rear and 8MP front-facing cameras, as well as a 3,000mAh battery. It also sports a glass back and a rear fingerprint sensor, much like the honor 8.
In retrospect, the Nova Lite is essentially a more affordable option to the RM1,299 P10 Lite. Both devices share the same display size and processor, although the P10 Lite does come with more RAM and storage at 4GB and 32GB respectively. Naturally, the P10 Lite sports a more premium-looking design too.
These promotional prices for the Huawei Nova Lite will be valid until 31 August 2017. Not surprisingly, it will only be available at these prices while stocks last.
