Samsung’s next Note device, the Galaxy Note 8, has been rumoured to be launching in August for quite some time now. Well, we now have an even more specific launch date: the Note 8 will likely be unveiled on 23 August.
Previously, the August launch date of the Galaxy Note 8 was reported by Reuters. Now, two more news outlets out of Korea are reporting the same month. The Bell, however, mention that the Note 8 will be introduced on 23 August at an Unpacked event set to take place in New York.
More likely than not, the Galaxy Note 8 will be unveiled in August, although there’s always a chance it’s not happening on the 23rd itself. What’s more interesting is the fact that Samsung isn’t delaying the launch of the Note 8 at all; even the Galaxy S8 devices were delayed for a bit.
As far as specifications go, rumours are saying that the Note 8 will come with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display than the Galaxy S8+. Of course, it will be the same unconventional – but very sleek-looking – 18.5:9 Super AMOLED display too. The Note 8 is also said to feature a dual-camera system and Samsung’s signature S Pen.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be a vital device in Samsung’s catalogue, especially after what happened with its predecessor. With August drawing near, we can expect Samsung to start sending out invites to the Note 8’s launch very soon.
