Introduced alongside the EliteBook x360, Elite X2 and two workstation machines in Malaysia is the HP EliteDisplay S340c curved monitor. With a wide 21:9 aspect ratio and high resolution display, the S340c is targeted at business professionals; its price tag certainly reflects that.
Touted as the “world’s first Skype for Business-certified curved display,” the EliteDisplay S340c is said to be ideal for making conference calls. It has a smartly-implemented pop-up webcam – with support for Windows Hello – dual microphones, as well as four speakers (7W per channel) tuned by Bang & Olufsen.
Design is also one of the most attractive aspects of the EliteDisplay S340c. The thin bezels are particularly eye-catching, and we imagine its wide 34-inch 3440 x 1440 21:9 display will be ideal for opening multiple spreadsheets. Also, the display is a 60Hz panel, which should be high enough for productivity-focused tasks; this isn’t a gaming monitor, after all.
Other specifications of the S340c include an anti-glare display, 6ms grey-to-grey response time, one DisplayPort, an HDMI 2.0 port, a single USB Type-C port, and a pair of USB 3.0 ports.
According to HP, the HP EliteDisplay S340c is now available in Malaysia. Retailing at RM4,999, this is not an affordable curved monitor, but its range of business-centric features may appeal to certain users.
