Aside from the EliteBook x360 and Elite X2, HP also introduced two workstations in Malaysia. These include the Z2 Mini – a very, very compact workstation PC – and the ZBook Studio mobile workstation.
Unveiled globally back in November last year, the Z2 Mini is an impressively compact desktop workstation. Two variants of the PC are available in Malaysia: the base model is equipped with an Intel Core i7-6700 processor paired with 16GB of DDR4 RAM, Intel HD Graphics 530 – that’s right, no dedicated GPU for this model – as well as a 1TB 7200rpm SATA HDD. This base model retails at RM5,720.
A tier up is the RM6,429 Z2 Mini. It features an Intel Xeon E3-1245 v5 paired with 16GB of DDR4 RAM, an Nvidia Quadro M620 GPU, and a 1TB 7200rpm SATA HDD. Also, both variants of the Z2 Mini can be downgraded to Windows 7 Professional from Windows 10 Pro.
And then we have the ZBook Studio. Oddly enough, HP was introducing the ZBook Studio G3 earlier today, but a quick check on HP Malaysia’s online store reveal that the newer ZBook Studio G4 is already available locally. Nonetheless, both workstation laptops are very capable.
The RM8,525 ZBook Studio G3 features a 15.6-inch 1080p anti-glare display, a Core i7-6700HQ processor paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, an Nvidia Quadro M1000M GPU, and a generous 512GB PCIe SSD. The newer – and slightly more affordable – RM7,940 ZBook Studio G4, on the other hand, comes with a Core i7-7700HQ processor paired with 16GB of DDR4 RAM, an Nvidia Quadro M1200 GPU, and a 256GB PCIe SSD.
The HP Z2 Mini, ZBook Studio G3 and ZBook Studio G4 are now available for purchase in Malaysia. If you’re interested to get any of these workstation machines, you can do so on HP Malaysia’s online store.
