It have been months since AMD Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 processors being made available to consumers throughout the world but somehow, OEMs have taken their own sweet time to release Ryzen-powered system. Acer has finally break the mold by officially announcing the availability of Ryzen-based Aspire GX desktop gaming PC in Malaysia.
Originally revealed at its media event in New York last April, Aspire GX itself is nothing new since the Intel Core i7 variation of the model was launched in Malaysia last March. For the Ryzen-based unit which is called Aspire GX281, it is equipped with AMD Ryzen 1700X alongside AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB as its graphics card.
Other than that, the system also carries 8GB DDR4 RAM as standard although it is able to support up to 64GB. Storage-wise, it comes standard with 256GB M.2 solid state drive as well as additional 3.5-inc 1TB 7200rpm hard drive.
Covered by 3-years warranty, the new Acer Aspire GX-281 can be obtained immediately at selected Acer retailers throughout Malaysia for RM 5,499.
