Just about a month after announcing the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) in Europe, the South Korean company has a new upgraded version of the device – the Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro. Launched in Thailand, it is a slightly upgraded version of the new device featuring slightly more RAM and internal storage.
The original Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) comes with a 5.2” HD Super AMOLED display and a metal body. On the inside, there is an 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro has the same design and screen, however, it has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

Everything else remains the same. There is a 13MP camera on the back and front of the device, 3,000mAh battery, fingerprint sensor on the front, and runs on Android Nougat out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro is currently available in Thailand for 9,990 Bhat – that’s about RM1,265. Samsung did not say if they will launch this phone elsewhere, but if you are hoping to upgrade your smartphone to the latest mid-range device, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) has already been registered with SIRIM, so you may look forward to that. Together with the Galaxy J5 Pro, Samsung now has four Galaxy J (2017) series smartphones now – Galaxy J3, Galaxy J5, and Galaxy J7.
