The honor 8 Pro is expected to be released in Malaysia sometime this month, and now, we know exactly how much it will cost here. Set to retail at RM1,999, the honor 8 Pro is now available for pre-order; it’s a pretty competitively priced device too.
Essentially the global variant of the China-exclusive honor V9, the honor 8 Pro features a very respectable list of specifications. It comes with a 5.7-inch 1440p display, a HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor (the very same one found in the Huawei Mate 9 and Huawei P10 smartphones) paired with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a sizeable 4,000mAh battery.
In the camera department, the honor 8 Pro’s dual-camera system is very similar to the honor 8‘s: it’s made up of a 12MP monochrome sensor and a 12MP RGB one. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, is an 8MP shooter.
Naturally, the honor 8 Pro also comes with EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and although it doesn’t have the honor 8’s very sleek Aurora Glass back anymore, the device’s all-metal chassis is actually quite eye-catching.
The honor 8 Pro is now available for pre-order from Huawei honor IOI City Mall’s Facebook page. According to the pre-order post, those who place their order early will also receive a special gift as well as a cash voucher.
