Huawei has introduced a new budget-friendly smartphone in Malaysia: the Huawei Y7 Prime. Packed with a generous 4,000mAh battery and a metal build, the Y7 Prime is a pretty interesting smartphone for those on a budget.
Needless to say, the most noteworthy hardware of the Y7 Prime is its large 4,000mAh battery. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor – which isn’t too power-hungry – we reckon the Y7 Prime will have pretty good battery life.
Other specifications of the Y7 Prime include a 5.5-inch 720p display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot – it supports cards up to 128GB – as well as a rear fingerprint sensor. In the camera department, the Y7 Prime comes with a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter.
Interestingly, the Y7 Prime ships with EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box too. The device is also available in two distinct colours in Malaysia: Black and Gold.
Considering the fact that Huawei has been focusing quite a bit in the high-end segment with its range of Huawei Mate 9 and Huawei P10 smartphones, the introduction of the Huawei Y7 Prime on our shores is a nice change of pace. The Y7 Prime will be available at all Huawei Experience Stores and Huawei Display Zones from the 7th of July onwards for RM999.
