Blizzard is ready to start taking your money for Starcraft Remastered. The high-definition remake is set to be released on 14 August, with preorders for the game already open on Blizzard’s online store.
Starcraft Remastered is essentially the original Starcraft Brood War with a completely overhauled graphics engine. Which is pretty much what anyone actually wants these days. A nostalgia filled game that has graphics as good as your remember it.
Thankfully Blizzard is not asking people to pay for a full priced game in the remastered version. Instead, players are free to download Starcraft Brood War; with the original graphics. Upgrading to the 4K graphics version of the game will then cost $14.99 (about RM65).
There’s also a new video announcing the release date of Starcraft Remastered. It’s not much, showing the Protoss and Zerg invading the real world. Still, it has Blizzard’s now trademark animation quality.
