Steam is now offering a small range of anime series through its streaming service. The shows, which are brought through a partnership with Crunchyroll, have arrived just in time for the Steam Summer sale.
Steam and Crunchyroll announced a partnership to provide anime through the gaming platform back in March. Although at the time the offerings were not available to Malaysians, which was not surprising since Crunchyroll is a US only service. However, it looks like some licensing issues have been sorted out and Valve can now offer a small selection of series in Malaysia.
We’re not exactly big enough fans of anime to tell if the shows are worth watching. Especially since Steam is asking for RM3 per episode, which can start to add up over a lot of seasons. Still, this is probably the most convenient way to legally obtain anime at the moment.
In the mean time, the Steam Summer Sale has begun, and will run until 6 July (5 July in the US). Shadow Over Mordor GOTY Edition is an excellent game being sold for only RM7.60 right now, which means that you have absolutely no reason to avoid buying it.
