As expected, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have finally made their way to Malaysia for 3,299 and 3,699 respectively. For those who wish to get their hands on a Galaxy S8 with device subsidy can consider getting them with Maxis’ Zerolution starting from RM98/month.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 from Maxis is priced at RM98 a month, while the Samsung Galaxy S8+’s monthly Zerolution device price is RM135 a month. If you wish to swap to a new phone after a 12-month period, you are required to pay an additional monthly fee of RM44 (RM67 for S8+). Other than that, you can also protect your device from screen cracks, accidental damage, as well as theft at an extra RM23/month. With all this added up, the monthly fee would be RM165 for the Galaxy S8 and RM225 for the Galaxy S8+.
Should you wish to purchase the Galaxy S8 from Maxis without Zerolution, you may do so but the pricing differs. For the Samsung Galaxy S8, device prices under MaxisONE plan 128, 158, and 188 are RM2,199, RM1,799, and RM1,599. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ device-only price under MaxisONE plans 128, 158, and 188 will be RM2,499, RM2,099, and RM1,899 respectively.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ is now available for purchase on Maxis’ online store. The choice to purchase the device with or without Zerolution is entirely up to you.Do take note that all prices displayed on Maxis’ website are not inclusive of 6% GST.
