While there might be many factors that can affect the condition of your Internet connection, one of the most common reason is your Wi-Fi setup. If you have been looking for ways to optimize Wi-Fi condition in your home or office, TM has released a free app to help you do just that.
Developed by the company’s own R&D division, the WiFi Optimiser Tool is apparently able to pinpoint issues within your Wi-Fi network in just 30 seconds. Among analysis that the app is able to perform is network’s signal strength, number of connected devices, and the amount of nearby Wi-Fi network within user’s premise.
The app is also able generate a report that describe the general state of user’s Wi-Fi network and would recommend necessary changes for users to optimize the network. Users can also change their Wi-Fi channel through the app although we’ve heard that results might vary from one router to another because this feature is essentially a shortcut for users to login into their router.
Meanwhile, do note that the new TM WiFi Optimiser Tool only works with UniFi and Streamyx connection. Furthermore, this particular app seems to be available only for Android users at the moment.
