If you enjoyed playing Minecraft Story Mode, the developer behind the game has a pleasant surprise for you – Minecraft Story Mode Season 2. Telltale Games recently announced that the new five-part Story Mode saga would launch next month, with the first episode scheduled for 11 July 2017. “Jesse’s tale didn’t end with merely becoming the world’s greatest living hero – if anything, life just got more complicated.”
The game is a continuation of Minecraft Story Mode Season 1. In the first season of the game, players would have to pick the next course of action in various scenarios, and those decisions will be taken into account in Minecraft Story Mode Season 2. Fortunately, if you did not play the previous season, Telltale Games says that new players can start directly with Season 2 too. On top of that, thanks to a new “Crowd Play” feature, you can join in the fun with friends which lets you help to direct the action from any online mobile device.
So, what is the story about this time round?
“There are responsibilities! Emerging rivalries! Unmeetable expectations of friends new and old! As a simple treasure hunt goes wrong, trapping Jesse’s hand in a cursed prismarine gauntlet, we discover that maybe there are other downsides to fame, too – like having a dark and ancient power know your name.
A new adventure beckons, sending Jesse on a quest to the darkest depths of the world – and beyond! Joined by a motley band of familiar faces, fortune hunters, sometime enemies and one deeply disobedient llama, there will be tough choices, peril aplenty and no shortage of People Who Will Remember That.”
Episode 1, titled “Hero in Residence”, will launch on 11 July 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android-based devices.
