After introducing its new MacOS High Sierra, Apple also has unveiled a new set of iMac that have been refreshed with new hardware. One such improvement is the implementation of new display that is said to be the best Mac displays ever released.
The reason why Apple is confident enough to come out with such a bold claim is because the display is apparently 43% brighter than its predecessors at 500 nits and it also supports one billion colors. That being said, these advantages only available through the Retina 4K and Retina 5K display on the 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac models respectively.
At the same time, all 2017 iMac models are equipped with 7th generation Intel Core processors. While the 21.5-inch full HD model is running on the integrated Intel Iris Plus graphics, the 21.5-inch 4K and 27-inch 5K models come with AMD Radeon Pro 500 series GPU.
Depending on respective models, the 2017 iMac is able to support up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM as well as 2TB solid state drive. Do note that the 27-inch models do come with Apple’s own Fusion Drive as standard.
Not to forget, two Thunderbolt 3 ports are standard on all of these machines. The new 2017 iMac can be purchased immediately through Apple Malaysia’s online store from RM 5,099 onwards.
